Caribou & Moose Combo Hunts In Canada
As a big game hunter, you dream of going on Moose hunts and bagging a trophy bull Moose. You dream of the same with Caribou hunts—going out into the wilderness and finding a trophy Caribou and bagging it after days of hunting.
At Munroe Lake Lodge, you can live both of those dreams at once with our combo Caribou and Moose hunts.
Why Book a Combo Hunting Trip With Us?
Our lodge is in the remote wilderness of Northern Manitoba, almost completely untouched by human hands. There’s a healthy population of both Moose and Caribou in the area, giving big game hunters a unique opportunity to bag two of the most prized big game animals in all of North America in a single hunting trip.
The expert guides at Munroe Lake Lodge spent weeks preparing for our Caribou Moose combo hunts to give you the best opportunity to hunt both Canadian Moose and Barren-ground Caribou. We use spot and stalk techniques, tracking both Moose and Caribou in an effort to find you the biggest bulls we can.
Our Moose Caribou combo hunts take place during the rutting season of both species. The antlers of both species are at their peak, and bulls are at peak size. You’ll be blown away the first time a bull Moose answers your call; seeing your first bull Caribou is an equally majestic experience.
What You Can Expect
You’ll be flown into our lodge from Thompson, Manitoba, at about 6:00 AM on our Cessna plane. Orientation happens the day you fly in; you’ll spend the rest of the day hunting and fishing. Breakfast is at 6 AM each day; the entire day is spent hunting for Moose and Caribou.
Munroe Lake is a nature lover’s paradise. Aside from Moose and Caribou, you can expect to see all kinds of wild animals; this is migrating birds and Wolf country. Once we’re done with our Moose/ Caribou hunts for the day, you can hunt for Ptarmigan or go fishing for Northern Pike or Trout.
Our guides use spot and stalk techniques in combination with Caribou and Moose calls in order to attract and track bulls. We spend weeks of preparation as the hunting season progresses in order to ensure that tracking these animals is as simple as possible once you’ve arrived.
When the day is done, you’ll retreat back to our lodge for dinner, which usually features some local treats like Moose or Caribou meat. Hunters have free time after dinner to go out for another round of fishing, or sit back and relax and hear stories from the guides. We recommend going to bed early; we start over again with breakfast at 6 AM!
